Tandem skydiving is an exhilarating experience, and there is no place in the midwest better prepared to help you make your first skydive than Skydive Greensburg! Since it is the easiest, most low-stress way to make your first jump, tandem skydiving is the method of choice for most of our guests.

You will be securely harnessed to one of our highly-trained tandem instructors for the duration of the skydive, so no experience and very little training is required before taking the plunge. After filling out your paperwork and watching a short introductory video, you will be introduced to your personal skydiving instructor for a pre-jump briefing. They will fit you with a jumpsuit and harness, discuss jump procedures with you, and answer any questions you may have. Once you are suited up, and all of your questions answered, you will board one of our aircraft for the scenic ride to 13,000 feet.

As you approach jump altitude, your instructor will attach you to the tandem skydiving parachute system and complete a final safety check. When the pilot gives the green light, the door will open and out you go! We promise the next minute of your life will be the most thrilling you've ever experienced! Freefalling at speeds up to 120mph from over two miles above the earth is an indescribable sensation that relatively few will ever know.

Your instructor will deploy your parachute as you pass through 5,000 feet, and the loud rush of freefall will quiet abruptly to a light breeze. For the next five minutes you will enjoy the tranquil beauty of a parachute flight over the Indiana countryside. During the canopy ride, you will assist your instructor in practicing your technique to prepare for landing.

As you glide in for a soft touch-down in our landing area in front of your family and friends, we're sure you'll be asking yourself, "Why did I wait so long to try this?"
